Ed's client had more shoes than would fit on standard racks in a typical closet. She asked Ed to build-in shelves to hold folded clothes, and trolleys to hold her shoes. As is typical, the closet door opening was smaller than the width of the closet. Most pre-fab solutions solve this problem by splitting the shelves. The client wanted solid-board shelves, and she wanted the shoe trolleys to take the full width of the closet. Here's what he built.
